miolo

Terms of use

In effect since

These terms govern the use of the miolo app, offered by Fuzalabs LTDA, Brazilian company registration (CNPJ) 50.833.910/0001-23, with its registered office at Rua Manoel Severo Simões, 31, apto. 504, Centro, Guarapari, ES, 29200-265, Brazil (“Fuzalabs”, “we”). By installing or using miolo, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What miolo is

miolo is an app for recording how you use your time: you create categories, record activities through the day, set goals and review what happened over a period. It is a personal tool for paying attention to your own time. If you want, it can also remind you to record, twice a day, through notifications generated on the device itself; reminders start off.

miolo is not a timekeeping or clock-in system and does not meet legal requirements for tracking working hours. What you record in it are your own notes, with no evidentiary value for labor or tax purposes.

2. Early access

miolo is in early access. This means that:

We do our best to preserve your records, but we recommend not relying on miolo as the only place important information lives during this phase.

3. Who may use it

You must be at least 18 years old, or use the app with the authorization and supervision of a legal guardian. By using miolo, you declare that you meet this condition.

4. Your account

miolo can be used in three ways:

You are responsible for keeping access to your Google or Apple credentials. miolo stores no passwords. One person should keep a single account.

5. Price

In this phase, miolo is free and offers no in-app purchases. If we offer paid features in the future, we will announce it in advance and you may decide whether to subscribe. No charge will be made without your express agreement.

6. Your records

Everything you create in miolo is yours. You grant us only the license needed to store, process and display those records to you, for the sole purpose of providing the service. We do not read, individually analyze or share the content of your records, except when required by law or with your express authorization for a support request.

You can edit and delete your records at any time inside the app, and delete the whole account as described in section 9.

7. Acceptable use

When using miolo, you agree not to:

8. Intellectual property

The miolo app, its name, brand, design, texts and code belong to Fuzalabs or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use the app on devices you control, in accordance with these terms. Nothing here transfers to you any right over the app beyond that use.

9. Ending

By you. You can stop using miolo at any time. Without an account, tapping “Sign out” erases everything. With a Google or Apple account, you can request deletion in the app’s settings or, without the app, by email, as the account deletion page explains. The account and every record are erased permanently 30 days after the request, during which signing in again keeps the account.

By us. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms, notifying you when possible and reasonable. We may also discontinue miolo, in whole or in part, with at least 30 days’ notice, during which you may request a copy of your data.

10. Availability and liability

We offer miolo as is, with the diligence expected of a service in early access. We do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free of errors. Its operation depends on third-party services, such as Google and Apple, which may suffer outages beyond our control. Reminders are delivered by the device itself, which may delay them or fail to show them, and we do not guarantee their delivery.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and without prejudice to the rights that Brazil’s Consumer Defense Code guarantees you, Fuzalabs is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app, especially when caused by connection or device failures, third-party services, or use in breach of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms to reflect changes in the app, the service or the law. The date at the top of this page identifies the version in force, and what changed from one version to the next is described there. When a change is significant, we will let you know inside the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use miolo after the notice means you accept the updated terms; if you do not agree, simply stop using it and, if you wish, delete your account.

12. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of your place of residence, when you are a consumer, or otherwise in the courts of Guarapari, Espírito Santo, Brazil.
